Christmas and the holidays

Christmas is right around the corner, and I would normally see it as just another holiday or just another year.  But this year changed my perspective on holidays and special days of the year.

After being diagnosed with the cancer back in June of this year, I’m happy and thankful. Happy and thankful that I’m alive, thankful that I made it to another holiday, happy that I will soon make it to another year. Funny to think or say isn’t it? Like honestly what are the chances of getting an illness that can kill you? What are the chances that each and every one of us is suffering from some kind of disease, illness, or ailment? Well believe it or not, it looks to me like it’s pretty high. You know take it from me, the 1%.

So what does that tell me or you for that matter? It tells me not to live life in fear, and to embrace your life and to LIVE IT! It tells me that people are taking their health and life for granted. I totally did. I always thought I was still young and healthy enough, and had lots of years ahead of me. I planned ahead and didn’t live in the present.

So what does that mean? It’s up to you to advocate for your own health, or to find the information out there, or to find what you need to do to heal. I believe in miracles, as they happen to all of us every day. Some may be small and some may be large, but they do happen.

This year, I was blessed to experience one of the many miracles that changed my life. The idea of being a cancer survivor is a blessing in itself. The idea to continue to be a cancer survivor may seem far fetched to some, but never impossible.

What I’ve learned about cancer or any illness is that if you’re a fighter and you really believe you can overcome the impossible, then you will. Never underestimate the gift of being able to heal yourself. All you need are the right tools that are already in front of you or easily accessible to you.

If you don’t already know, it’s the plants around us, it’s being able to listen to what your body needs, it’s changing your diet, changing your perspective on life, it’s about listening to your own intuition and messages from your angels. The guidance is there. If you don’t know how to listen to your angel’s messages, let me help you so you can start your healing journey too!

Today, society has taught us how to ignore these messages, and to focus on material things and status. Maybe it’s time to start being an example for yourself, and  to think of what’s truly important to you.

Is pushing through a stressful life, a stressful job more important than your health?  It took me a while to figure it out myself, and my body was telling me that it needed help. But being as stubborn as I am, I finally learned the hard way. It just took me to almost dying to realize it.
